Seahorse Class is our Year 1 class.
They are taught by Mrs Razhi
Friday 27th September we all enjoyed a role play of The Three Little pigs, where children pretended to be a little pig and collected their resources to build their house for their pig. The big bad wolf (Miss Potter) then came along and blew the houses down, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
Seahorse class have settled into year 1 very well. You may have heard your children talking about dojo's and pennies. This is a positive behaviour strategy being used in class where children receive a dojo and a penny for working hard and demonstrating their values. On a Friday we have a shop where children can use their pennies to buy small rewards at different costs, or in some cases children have been saving. Alongside the pennies we have been giving children 5p for reading 4 or more times a week, which they can also use at the shop. Please may you ensure you are reading and practising spellings regularly with your children. In the spellings folder we have also provided the children with sound mats, which we would also like you to go through with your children to support their phonics.
Many thanks for your continued support.
